What the heck is this blog?
Wedy Was Here will talk about anything that interests me from anime to games, cosplay, food, art, movies, TV shows, pop culture, music, figures, toys, books, travel, etc. It will occasionally have product reviews, too. Just don't expect topics like politics and religion.

Why Wedy Lawliet?
I've had many online aliases but I'd like to stick to one. The name has been around since 2008. Wedy is a character from one of my favorite manga/anime series of all time, Death Note. Lawliet is the surname of one of the protagonists, L, who's also from the same series. Wedy is actually a professional burglar whom L hired to assist the Kira Investigation Team (urk too much spoilers already. Just watch the series or read the manga, or Google it). Anyway, my mind is constantly on a blur every time I need to register a new account in a new website, so when asked for a username or an address, my mind would constantly blurt out the names of my favorite Death Note characters. I'm surprised it's not Wedy Yagami though I like Light Yagami more now than L :p

So, who are you?
You may call me Wedy or "R" (because this is the first letter of my nickname). :) I don't really know how to describe myself but if there are a few things you should know about me, it's that I like taking pictures, I occasionally draw and play fighting games, I love cold weather, coffee and green tea serve as my fuel, I write for a living, I'm a retired musician, and I enjoy collecting figures of my favorite anime and game characters. I also enjoy trying new things to satiate my sense of adventure, and when I do, I like to share my experiences with people. I guess that's why this blog exists.
