Nendoroid Gilgamesh: Pre-orders Start On April 9

I haven't posted anything for quite a long time since February, but now is the right time to blog about something again, because Kahotan posted about Nendoroid Gilgamesh, and I got really excited about it. X'D

Hi, reader. You can probably hear me shrieking excitedly from where you are

According to her post, this cute lil' fellow will be available for pre-orders on April 9, 2014. I honestly cannot wait. I've been hoping that they'd make a Nendoroid of Gilgamesh ever since the Fate/Zero anime first came out. Thank you, Good Smile Company for making this. :) You have made a lot of fans very happy. ^_^

A little background
Gilgamesh is a character from the visual novel and popular anime series, Fate/Stay Night. In Fate/Zero (the prequel of Fate/Stay Night), he was summoned as an Archer class servant. He is known as the 'King of Heroes' and he is based on the demi-god from The Epic of Gilgamesh.

Thoughts on the figure
I honestly think that Nendoroid Gilgamesh's prototype looks good. At first, I hoped for a shinier armour like that of Nendoroid Saber 10th Anniversary Edition, but the matte finish eventually appealed to me. Perhaps it's because I just wanted to have a Nendoroid figure of Gilgamesh so badly that I wouldn't care if he had a shiny or a matte armour anymore. :p

Gilgamesh comes with the sneering faceplate as well as the shouting faceplate, and of course, a Gilgamesh figure will not be complete without his signature Gate of Babylon.

You can probably hear him shouting "Zasshu!" (mongrel) already.

Nendoroid Gilgamesh will also come with Ea, his noble phantasm. I don't think the sword can spin or move unlike with Bandai Chogokin Gilgamesh's Ea, but that's fine with me, too. :p Of course, a set of extra weapons for his Gate of Babylon will also come with the figure. You can easily insert them into the ripples of the gate or make him hold them.

Nice Ea, King of Heroes.
